Do you have what it takes to be a Maths Superhero???
Our Rigour Skill Builder Modules are an interactive and motivational way to develop numeracy and mathematical skills in your classroom.
Rigourman had to work very hard to become a superhero and he expects the same from his pupils!
Our Rigour Skill Builder Modules focus on developing skills at bronze, silver and gold level. The differentiation in the modules enable pupils to quickly achieve success with the basics and provides them with the confidence required to access the more advanced questions in a progressive manner. We are committed to closing the attaiment gap and our philosophy is to provide a delivery of Numeracy and Mathematics that will allow every young person to access the same curriculum and be successful.
All of the modules have interactive features at the click of a button including a timer and access to online interactive games relevant to the skill being taught.
These modules can be utilised by both primary and secondary maths teachers as they have not been linked to a particular curriculum. They are essential skills and the sooner they are mastered the better!
These flexible modules can be used as starters or can even be used as a resource to teach your entire lesson.
Our skill builders come with their own tracking spreadsheet where the class teacher can record pupil scores and quickly see areas for development so they can plan for next steps and future learning.
Shown below is a short video demonstration illustrating some of the key features of our exciting and motivational software...

Traditional Superheros may have advanced physical strength but do they have the mental strength required to pass a maths exam??? This simple rule once mastered will add another super power to your mental agility - hope you like it!
You are welcome to download any of our free resources. Here is our Maths Superhero poster, guaranteed to brighten up any classroom!
To reward effort young people can be presented with prestigious Maths Superhero certificate if they have demonstrated the qualities in class or at home!
Please feel free to use our Maths Superhero Success Certificates to recognise achievement over a period of time. After passing 10 assessments pupils earn their superhero suit. After 20 successful assessments they earn their boots. After 30 positive assessments they earn their gloves. After 40 their superhero belt and after 50 the earn their mask. After 60 assessments (a remarkable achievement!) they will earn their superhero cape!
In this activity pupils can become a Maths Superhero! They come up with their own superhero name and list their 5 superhero powers. This is designed to be a fun way of thinking about what their strengths are. All superheros have a weakness so they are asked to think of something they could improve on. Pupils can either draw themselves or even stick on a photograph...don't forget to add the superhero mask though! There is a colour worksheet below and a black and white one should pupils wish to design their own colour schemes.
Feel free to tweet us your superheros at Rigour Maths @cdmasterworks, we would love to hear from you. You might even win prizes for your school!
